What a bizarre turn of events.

I'm trying to rack my brain and I don't think I remember seeing this before in the National Hockey League.
On Wednesday night we witnessed a bizarre series of events when National Hockey League officials suddenly huddled up about seven minutes into the first period between the San Jose Sharks and Calgary Flames.
It wasn't clear at first why the officials had gathered but when they finished their huddle the end result was clear, the officiating crew had ejected Sharks defenseman Mirco Muller.
Muller was reportedly listed as a healthy scratch on the official line up and of this moment it's still unclear exactly how all of this happened, but the Sharks are down a man as a result.
