The Buffalo Sabres have been busy this summer and made another move on Tuesday afternoon.

The Sabres made a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks this time, acquiring defenseman Henri Jokiharju in exchange for forward Alexander Nylander.

Nylander's contract carries an average annual value of $863,333 and is signed through the 2020-21 season.

He played just 12 games last season in Buffalo, collecting two goals and two assists. He is known as the big brother of Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander, but let’s not forget that he is a former first round pick. He was selected eighth overall by the Sabres in the 2016 NHL Draft.

As for Jokiharju, he took part in 38 games for the Blackhawks last season. He did not manage to find the back of the net, but he did put up 12 assists. The 20-year-old blue liner was a first-round pick, 29 overall by the Hawks  in 2017.

He carries a cap hit of $925,000 and is signed through the 2020-21 campaign.

It is another great move by the Sabres, who also landed free agent forward Marcus Johansson earlier this weekend.

"Henri is a young, mobile defenseman who has shown he can compete at the NHL level," Sabres General Manager Jason Botterill said in a statement. "His international success last season only furthered his development and we are excited to add him to our current group of defensemen."
