BREAKING: Star Defenseman Asked For Trade

22-year-old defenseman Jacob Trouba appears to be on his way out of Winnipeg, as reported by Sportsnet.

The young blue-liner’s agent Kurt Overhardt released a statement to the media, clearly indicating that “… Jacob Trouba will not be attending the Winnipeg Jets NHL training camp. Since May, we have been working with the Jets management in an effort to facilitate a trade of Jacob’s rights...”

According to Overhardt, the fact that the Winnipeg franchise boasts two right-handed veteran defensemen is what has brought about this ordeal. He believes that perhaps it is in his client’s best interest to part ways with the organization in order to find himself an opportunity to flourish elsewhere.
