The Detroit Red Wings are hopeful that they will have an answer from veteran forward Pavel Datsyuk sooner rather than later.
General manager Ken Hollandhas informed The Detroit News that he expects to meet with the seemingly indecisive Datsyuk sometime next week.
"I know Pavel is coming back to Detroit in the middle of June, he has a camp that week, and we’re going to meet before that,” Holland said.
While there's no guarantee that that Datsyuk will make his decision after the meeting, Holland appears to believe that one will come shortly after. There have also been talks suggesting the Red Wings are already quietly shopping Datsyuk's contract indicating Holland expects Datsyuk to sign in the Kontinental Hockey League.
