Finally, he's back!

The Detroit Red Wings signed Thomas Vanek the first of july hoping he would be the points producer he used to be in Buffalo. The veteran said himself he could "still produce 20 goals per season"... and boy was he going in the right way!

Before being his injury (against the Carolina Hurricanes, October, 25th) Vanek had 4 goals and 4 assists in 7 games despite playing an average of 13 minutes. Playing on a line with Darren Helm and Andreas Athanasiou, Vanek was the points producer he used to be and the player the Detroit Red Wings hoped when they gave him a $2.600.000 contract.

Thomas Vanek skated this morning with Frans Nielsen and Dylan Larkin and is expected to play tonight against the struggling Calgary Flames.
