Maple Leafs forward leaves team, becomes KHL's leading scorer.

The Leafs may have dropped the ball here.

It's hard to imagine how the Maple Leafs couldn't find a way to develop this guy, and one has to wonder if perhaps Mike Babcock and his new team could have handled him differently.

The Maple Leafs once had a player by the name of Brandon Kozun in their system, and there was once a lot of hype around him, alas it never went anywhere and he would eventually make the decision to leave the organization and go play in the KHL.

Today, as of this writing, Kozun, who now plays for Jokerit, is the league's leading scorer, having registered an impressive 6 goals and 11 assists in his first 11 games of the season, outpacing even highly skilled players like Alexander Radulov.

Again it's a sad sign that the Leafs couldn't find a way to haraness this much talent.
