Patrick Kane's negative influence on the Blackhawks.

Most of you already know that many teams have inquired to Stan Bowman if he wanted to trade Patrick Kane. Even if no Kane has yet to be formally charged with sexual assault or even rape, some people want to see him out of Chicago. The young super star's behaviour shows a blatant disrespect of the Chicago Blackhawks' organization and tradition. It would be easy to run him out of town.

The problem is that Patrick Kane is one of the best hockey player on Earth. This kind of talent is very rare, especially that he came through the draft, costing close to nothing, except maybe a terrible season. So the challenge faced by Stan Bowman isn't just a matter of Kane being guilty or not, it becomes a matter of public relations. Kane has been in very polarizing off-ice events during his NHL career. Patrick Kane seems to forget that he represents the Chicago Blackhawks institution 24/7. The Hawks have done a marvellous job to take over the sport's scene in Chicago for the last decade. The sad reality is that Patrick Kane represents both a menace and the solution to the Hawks' image.

The question that has to be asked is: are the Blackhawks done with Kane's behaviour, in general, not only in the latest incident. The answer really depends on how you approach the situation, from an ownership stand point, as a general manager that wants to win or a fan.

Unfortunately, there might be a victim scared for life in the Patrick Kane incident. Kane could be the victim himself. Nevertheless, it might be too late, the damage has been done, Patrick Kane might have tarnished the Blackhawks logo for the last time.
