Dallas Stars defenseman Roman Polak was stretchered off the ice in the second period of Thursday night’s contest versus the Boston Bruins after going headfirst into the boards and everyone in the rink was worried sick.

Polak was chasing Bruins forward Chris Wagner into the corner and simply took an awkward fall into the boards while attempting to stop. After the crash, he didn’t move…

Ever since Roman crashed into the boards, fans have been getting outraged by the response to the play from the commentators on NESN’s Bruins broadcast.

“That looked self-induced, didn’t it?,” NESN’s Bruins color analyst Andy Brickley said immediately after the collision.
“Has a little bit of bad hockey karma,” NESN’s Bruins play-by-play announcer Jack Edwards responded.

This prompted Polak’s agent Allan Walsh to respond to Edwards and he did not mince his words. Walsh called Edwards a ‘piece of shit’ and ‘absolute disgrace’ over Polak comments.

“I have tremendous respect for the Bruin players that sent best wishes. All class. As for Jack Edwards, to say Roman’s injury was “bad hockey karma” while he was laying on motionless on the ice, you are truly a piece of shit and an absolute disgrace.”

We can all agree that Edwards needed to shut up there. This feud is gaining a lot of traction on Friday in the NHL.
