Report: Kings have reportedly made a move to acquire a goaltender.

The Kings appear to have found a replacement for injured goaltender Jonathan Quick, but one  it's not one likely to appease the Los Angeles King's fan base.

According to a report out of Europe the Los Angeles Kings have reached out to former National Hockey League goaltender Anders Lindback, and both parties have agreed to terms of a new deal that will bring Lindback back to North America.

One doesn't have to go back very far to analyze Lindback's last NHL performance, 19 games with the Arizona Coyotes in the 2015-2016 season where he posted highly questionable numbers. Over that limited stretch Lindback put up a 3.11 goals against average as well as a .894 save percentage, leading to a lack of interest from NHL teams this summer.

Lindback did have a decent showing on a PTO with the New Jersey Devils, and that may have played a role in the King's decision to reach out to him.

Despite the fact he won't be a savior, the Kings are bringing him in on a PTO, so it's a low-risk gamble from L.A.
