Report: Maple Leafs have a plan to attract Jimmy Vesey.

There are a great many pundits who believe that the Toronto Maple Leafs already have the inside track when it comes to free agent Jimmy Vesey, after all they currently have both Jimmy's father Jim and his brother Nolan in their organization.

Despite the fact that they already have a sales pitch that includes things no other team has the hope of matching the Leafs are going to make a full court press to acquire this year's Hobey Baker winner. In fact according to TSN's Darren Dreger the Leafs have reached out to their first round draft pick Auston Matthews and he will be a part of whatever pitch is made to Vesey.

While this is by no means a guarantee that the Leafs will acquire Vesey, especially when you consider he can pick from just about every team in the NHL, it is the making of a strong pitch from Toronto.
