Report: Notorious bad boy coming back to the NHL.
A former NHL bad boy is attempting a comeback and it appears at least one team is interested. According to a report from Chris Johnston of Sportsnet, Andrei Kostitsyn is looking back to the NHL and rumors are suggesting that he's already begun negotiations on the terms of a one year contract. Kostitsyn was notorious for his close relationship to underworld boss Pasquale Magnolia during his time with the Montreal Canadiens. Magnolia had strong ties to the Hell Angels, a biker gang with tremendous underworld influence in Quebec, and he allegedly provided the Kostitsyn's with drugs and women. After being traded to Nashville as a result of his troubles in Montreal Kostitsyn got himself suspended after missing curfew during the post season and subsequently signed in the KHL where he has spent the last three seasons of his career. While nothing is confirmed yet Pittsburgh is the name we continue to hear when it comes to Kostitsyn and his current contract negotiation. Image courtesy Keystonepress.
