The Detroit Red Wings look to add to their two-game winning momentum after blanking their Atlantic Division and Original Six rivals the Montreal Canadiens on Monday by a score of 1-0. The lone goal of the afternoon came at the hands (thighs?) of none other than Thomas Vanek, who unintentionally redirected a puck behind Carey Price for his 12th tally of the season.

As the Red Wings hit the ice for practice ahead of yet another Original Six matchup against the visiting Boston Bruins tonight, it appears as though three regulars will skip their turns in the lineup tonight.

Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports that forwards Steve Ott, Tomas Jurco and defenseman Ryan Sproul will be healthy scratches tonight:

With only one point in his last ten games, it comes as no surprise that Ott sits, and Jurco's 11 games to date have been relatively unspectacular (0 points, minus-3) while rookie Sproul has one point in his last six games and six through 21 games played thus far. His minus-5 rating in the 2016-2017 regular season schedule might justify head coach Jeff Blashill's decision.
