We have a very juicy rumor to report.

In a recent book published on the history of the Philadelphia Flyers by respected writer Jay Greenberg he revealed that at the 2013 National Hockey League Entry Draft the Montreal Canadiens and general manager Marc Bergevin offered up their current captain, Max Pacioretty, to the Philadelphia Flyers and then general manager Paul Holmgren.

The specific details of the trade would have seen the Habs give up their 25th overall pick and Pacioretty in exchnage for the Flyers 11th overall pick and forward Wayne Simmonds Those picks turned out to be forward Michael McCarrron for Montreal at 25 and Samuel Morin for the Flyers at 11.
