Today may have been the final day for Jack Capuano as head coach of the New York Islanders but the man who fired him today, general manager Garth Snow, may not be too far behind him.

According to a report from Yahoo Sports' Greg Wyshynski the Capunoa firing is "the beginning of the end for Garth Snow," with Wyshynski pointing to the fact that new owner Jon Ledecky is looking to make sweeping changes,

There have been rumors for weeks that Ledecky is looking to hire a new president for the team, a man that in theory could fire Snow in order to hire his own general manager, and Ledecky's decision to travel with the team as of late indicates that he is now much more hands on with the team.

There are those like Wyshynski who believe it's only a matter of time before the Isles hire a new team president, and furthermore that whoever gets the job will have the termination of Garth Snow as the first thing on his to-do list.
