The first full-time female coach in NHL history has been hired!
Hopefully a role model for other young women interested in the sport.

It's official, the National Hockey League now has it's first full-time female coach.
According to a an official announcement made by the Arizona Coyotes today the organization has hired Dawn Braid as their full-time skating coach, making league history in the process.
This is no token hire either, Braid has a long history as a skating coach at the NHL level and in fact has worked in a consulting roles for multiple organizations in the past including with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Ducks, Buffalo Sabres and Calgary Flames.
The Coyotes released an official statement from Braid via their social media.
