Trade rumor : Blackhawks are looking to add more than a left winger
Keystone Press

Source tends to say Blackhawks are looking to add more than a left winger.

It's no secret around the league that the Chicago Blackhawks are looking to add a talented left winger to help Jonathan Toews' offensive struggles. Lately, we heard Gabriel Landeskog and James Van Riemsdyk as potential fits for the Blackhawks. Elliot Friedman also suggests Patrick Sharp's comeback to Chicago where he has already played 10 years.

New information tend to imply that the Chicago Blackhawks could also be in the hunt for a veteran defenseman. A source told The Athletic that "They need help back there" and "They’re looking for a forward and veteran defenseman".

However, small cap space availability will make it hard for Stan Bowman to attract both left winger and veteran defenseman.

Which defenseman could be available ?

From what we hear around the league, a few good defensemen could be available by the trade deadline this year. Among the name that are often cited Kevin Shattenkirk (St.Louis), Michael Stone (Arizona), Dennis Wideman (Calgary) appears to be available.

Which player do you think would fit best in the Hawks uniform?
