Two Maple Leafs will hit the ice for the first time in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs on Saturday night as the Maple Leafs look to prevent the Boston Bruins from taking a stranglehold on their first round playoff series.

Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe appears posed to make significant changes to the Maple Leafs lineup ahead of Game 4 with 2 veteran Maple Leafs expected to make their first appearance in this series.

The big news is of course the anticipated return of injured forward William Nylander, who has reportedly been dealing with a migraine issue, after Nylander missed the first 3 games of this series due to health reasons. Nylander has not officially been confirmed as a part of tonight's lineup but all signs, including comments from Keefe, point to Nylander making his 2024 Stanley Cup playoff debut tonight.

That particular change to the lineup is being made for injury reasons, but there appears to be another lineup change being made for performance related reasons. Keefe all but confirmed that veteran defenseman T.J. Brodie would be suiting up for the first time in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs on Saturday, indicating that Timothy Liljegren is likely to be the odd man out tonight on the Maple Leafs blue line.

"It's part of the game-time decision-type situation," said Keefe. "But, we've liked our d-pairs. I haven't liked that pair (Edmundson-Liljegren) as much."

It is the playoffs so all of this could change at a moments notice before puck drop.
