It hasn't taken very long for the top picks in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft to make a splash in the NHL.
On Tuesday night the number two overall pick, the Buffalo Sabres Jack Eichel, was putting his talent on full display when he buried a short handed break away against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
It was a beautiful play from a very young player who has a lot of room to grow, and it was also a solid metaphor for the two trajectories these franchises appear to be on at the moment.
