Flyers management respond harshly to Lecavalier comments about ice time!

Vincent Lecavalier recently made headlines for his comments regarding his ice time in Philadelphia, and more importantly the fact that the clearly wasn't happy about the situation. If you missed Lecavalier's comments, here they are from the Courier Post:

“Yeah, I didn’t have too many shifts … It’s frustrating for sure. The more you get out there, the better you feel and the more you feel comfortable with the puck… When you have six or seven shifts, it’s definitely not a confidence booster, but that’s what it was today. Hopefully I’ll get more of an opportunity to play next game.”

It seems Flyers management heard the comments because they have responded swiftly and harshly. In one of the more poignant messages to the locker room all season, former Tampa Bay Lightning superstar Vincent Lecavalier has been made a healthy scratch for the first time in his career. The Flyers desperately need a chnage in momentum as they are currently on a downward spiral that has them competing in the Connor McDavid Sweepstakes. As a Flyers fan I can't help but feel this is the right move, for a guy earning the kind of money Lecavalier is, and producing the way he is, he has no right to complain about anything involving this team.
