A fair warning to our readers, this video is not for the feint of heart.

New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad suffered an awful looking injury on Sunday night when he was engaged in a battle with what appeared to be Florida Panther Rielly Smith. With both men fighting for position  and the puck Zibanejad would lose his balance, and the result was him crashing into the boards at an awkward angle, and his leg being pinned between his body and the boards.

While the injury looked bad at the time, we now have confirmation from the Rangers themselves that it's a horrific one. The Rangers have now reported that Zibanejad suffered a broken fibula and as a result will miss six to eight weeks.

Here's the video.
