Tic-Tac-Toe Perfection!

The tic-tac-toe in hockey often leads to some nice goals. Today, the Washington Capitals showed us exactly how it is done.

When you have Nicklas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin on a two on one, chances are Backstrom is making the pass and Ovy is going to one timer it home. That was the case except for that Ovechkin used the fact everyone knew he was going to shoot to one time pass it over to Matt Niskanen who put it home. The Ovechkin fake was so good that Flyers' goalie Steve Mason was completely out of the net because he bit so hard. Niskanen will not get a more wide open net than that.

The Capitals have been on fire and this play shows just how much of a roll they are on. When you are oozing with confidence, plays like these come easy.
