The KHL season might be officially over, however, free agent players have to wait until May 1st to sign with NHL teams.

But it is coming fast and it has been reported by RSport on Wednesday that at least 10 CSKA Moscow players that are set to become free agents have received NHL contract offers.

That will keep many NHL general managers something to do during the shut down caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

KHL insider Aivis Kalnins mentioned a few names that could be players looking to sign in the NHL: Kirill Kaprizov, Anton Slepyshev, Mikhail Grigorenko, Konstantin Okulov, Maxim Shalunov, Nikita Nesterov, Alexei Marchenko and Alexander Romanov.

Agent Dan Milstein, who represents Montreal Canadiens prospect Alexander Romanov, among others, told Pierre LeBrun last week that Romanov is currently weighing his options for the future.

Romanov, a second-round draft pick of the Canadiens in 2018, posted seven assists in 43 games with CSKA Moscow this season.

While Kalnins mentioned that it is at least 10 players who have received offers, another prominent KHL insider Igor Erenko corrected him and mentioned that it was eight free agents looking to come to America,

We will have to keep an eye on this to see how many Russian talented players are coming to the NHL, and where!
