Unrestricted free agent winger Scottie Upshall is still hoping to get an offer from a National Hockey League team for the upcoming season.

However, the 33-year-old veteran has a pretty good Plan B. According to the Toronto Sun, Upshall has received offers from European pro league teams, including “pretty good offers” coming out of Russia.

The scrappy winger could also consider playing for Team Canada in the Olympics if he is unable to land an NHL job, his first choice.

“The Olympics, the money that they hand out (in European leagues) ... it’s hard to say no to that opportunity,” Upshall told the Sun. “Playing for the Olympic team would be a dream come true.”

Upshall, who was traded three times, was a member of the St. Louis Blues, Florida Panthers, Arizona Coyotes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Philadelphia Flyers and Nashville Predators

In 696 NHL games, he recorded 131 goals and 266 points, and put up 569 penalty minutes.
