The Winnipeg Jets have lost one of their young rookies due to a very ugly hit.

On Sunday Los Angeles Kings forward Kyle Clifford delivered an absolutely inexcusable hit to Winnipeg Jets rookie forward Kyle Connor causing him to torpedo head first into the boards, and leaving him down on the ice for several moments.

Understandably Clifford was ejected and given a five minute game misconduct penalty as a result of the hit, and while Connor did manage to return to the game, it now appears he has been injured.
