The New Jersey Devils have placed on of their young forwards on waivers.
A report from TSN's James Mirtle has revealed that 25-year-old center Sergei Kalinin will be headed to the waiver wire today after appearing in 43 games for the Devils of the course of this season.
Kalinin was picked up by the Devils after a number of successful seasons with Omsk Avangard of the Kontinental Hockey League and he has played a total of 121 NHL games since coming over to North America.
Kalinin has 10 career goals and 9 career assists and it wouldn't be a shock to see a roleplayer like him get picked up just days before the trade deadline.
