26 NHL players have filed for arbitration.

The National Hockey League Players Association has just announced that a large number of players have elected to go to arbitration during the offseason after failing to reach an agreement with their respective teams. A total of 26 players are headed to arbitration, although no doubt some of them will be signed before reaching that point, and it should come as no surprise given the rather unique circumstances of this delayed NHL season.

Most of the teams here will have just one or two players to deal with in arbitration but for a few of the teams on this list it looks like the offseason still has quite a few headaches in store. Here is the full list of all 26 players who have filled as per the NHLPA:

The Boston Bruins have just one player headed to arbitration and that player is defenseman Matt Grzelcyk.

The Buffalo Sabres are one of the team's with a lot on their plate as they have 3 players that elected for arbitration. Those 3 are forward Victor Olofsson, forward Sam Reinhart and goaltender Linus Ullmark.

The Calgary Flames have just one player as well, that player is forward Andrew Mangiapane.

The Carolina Hurricanes will be among the hardest hit by arbitration with a ton of players from their roster electing it. Forward Clark Bishop, defenseman Haydn Fleury, forward  Warren Foegele, and defenseman Gustav Forsling, all chose arbitration.

The Colorado Avalanche have defenseman Ryan Graves as their only arbitration case.

The Detroit Red Wings have 1 player in forward Tyler Bertuzzi.

The Florida Panthers also have 1 player in defenseman MacKenzie Weegar.

The Minnesota Wild also have one player in goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen.

The New York Islanders have forward Joshua Ho-Sang, defenseman Ryan Pulock and defenseman Devon Toews as their 3 cases.

The New York Rangers are one of the hardest hit with defenseman Tony DeAngelo goaltender Alexandar Georgiev forward Brendan Lemieux and forward Ryan Strome all choosing arbitration.

The Ottawa Senators are another team with a lot of cases, they have forward Connor Brown, defenseman Christian Jaros, forward Nick Paul and forward Chris Tierney.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have a single case in forward Ilya Mikheyev.

And last but not least the Vancouver Canucks have forward Jake Virtanen.
