The unnamed Las Vegas franchise is coming together.

At least, that happens to be the case in their front office. After naming former Washington Capitals general manager George McPhee as their first-ever GM, Las Vegas has hired David Conte as the team's special advisor to hockey operations, as per The Score.

The 68-year-old has a long and winding history of helping the New Jersey Devils win three Stanley Cups thanks especially to his drafting prowess. Brendan Shanahan, Martin Brodeur, Scott Niedermayer, Zach Parise and Patrik Elias are just some of the household names that Conte can pride himself on having influenced the organization into selecting.
