37 players hit waivers today including NHL veterans Beau Bennett, Andrew Hammond, J-F Berube, Derrick Pouliot and more.
A massive number of players go to waivers on Sunday.
HockeyFeed
Teams around the National Hockey League have made major cuts to their training camp rosters over the weekend, and that trend continued on Sunday with several more players hitting the waiver wire. If you missed yesterday's story on Saturday's waiver wire you can check that out here, however keep in mind that none of the players waived on Saturday were claimed by rival organizations.
As for today we have a staggering number of players headed to the waiver wire, a whopping 37 total split among a large number of teams. There are quite a few notable names on today's list as well including a fair number of players with considerable NHL experience under their belt. Of course being placed on waivers does not mean that these players are done in the NHL necessarily, but unless they are claimed by another NHL organization it seems fair to suggest that most, if not all, of these guys will start the season in the American Hockey League barring any injuries.
Here is the full list of players waived today as per Cap Friendly:

There are definitely some notable names on this list. Although none of the players here are world beaters or even game changing type players, there is plenty of NHL experience here. Although all players cleared waivers today do not be surprised if we see some claims coming in on Monday for one, or potentially more, of the players waived today.
