Things aren’t going as planned for Brandon Dubinsky and the Columbus Blur Jackets

Dubinsky underwent wrist surgery in late May, he is unfortunately  taking a little longer to recover than the originally anticipated window of three months.

The Jackets are now crossing their fingers that Dubinsky will be ready for the beginning of the 2017-18 season, as recently reported by The Athletic’s Aaron Portzline.

The 31-year-old is one of the NHL’s most versatile players and coach John Tortorella can use him in different roles.

He scores goals, shoots to the net, can be used on the power-play, and he is gritty and hated by all of his rivals. The Jackets need him to be ready soon, at least one the puck is dropped at the season opener.

In 80 games last season, Dubinsky recorded 12 goals and 41 points for the Jacekts, and amassed two points in five playoff games.
