A look at the absurd dominance of Devan Dubyk in the Minnesota Wild net.

One of the most criminally underrated players in the NHL.

It's remarkable to think that he's not more of a household name, but Devan Dubnyk remains one of the most criminally underrated players in the National Hockey League despite the fact that he's been one of the most dominant goaltenders in the league over the past three seasons.

In fact while you would certainly get dissenting opinions on the topic, and rightfully, you could make an argument that since Dubnyk joined the Minnesota Wild, no man has been better than him during the regular season.

Since joining the Wild Dubnyk has been a starter 124 times, the most of any NHL goaltender over that stretch, and has the second most wins with 69. His numbers are even more impressive with Dubnyk recording a save percentage of .928, good for first among NHL goalies, and a goals against average of just 2.05, also good for first, since being traded by Arizona during the 2014-2015 season.

Dubnyk's arrival in Minnesota led the team to a miraculous turn as soon as he was acquired, pushing Minnesota all the way into what seemed like a once impossible playoff berth that season, and is well on his way to doing so once again this year. Dubnyk leads the league with 4 shouts out, a .946 save percentage and a 1.63 goals against average this season, and he's showing no signs of slowing down thus far.

If it weren't for a man named Carey Price in Montreal, Dubnyk would stand head and shoulders above the rest of the field of NHL goaltenders.
