We are headed for what appears to be one of the most interesting offseasons in quite some time, with a number of big name unrestricted free agents hitting the market.

The restricted free agent market could end up being just as interesting, with several teams rumored to be looking to deal quality RFAs and even the potential for big time offer sheets to steal players or force rival teams into paying premium dollar to retain their assets.

Here are whom we believe to be the top three restricted free agents to watch this offseason.

#3 Anaheim Ducks goaltender Frederik Andersen

Even if there hadn't been rumors of a trade involving Andersen he may have made this list. The sheer level of desperation some teams will have to sign aquality goaltender could make an offer sheet for Andersen a very possibility. More likely however is the Ducks finally deal the young netminder, something they will almost certainly do ahead of the looming expansion draft.

#2 Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Seth Jones

Unlike Andersen, Seth Jones will not be traded by the Columbus Blue Jackets, but we wouldn't be surprised if an offer sheet or two were sent his way for a number of reasons. As mentioned before major offer sheet for Jones costly either way for the Blue Jackets who have limited cap space, lose a premium asset or be forced into a cap nightmare.

#1 Colorado Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie.

No one seems to know why the Avalanche want to trade a 24 year old defenseman in his prime, but everyone seems to agree that is in fact what they intend to do. Like in the Anderson case an offer sheet and a trade are both possible, and we believe the trade to be the more likely of the two outcomes. Barrie is in his prime and is coming two terrific seasons for the Avalanche.
