The last few days saw some things happening with the Bruins, both good and bad.

THE BAD:

1. David Pastrnak is suspended for two games on a hit to the head of NYR’s Dan Girardi. He didn’t play Saturday against the Red Wings, and will miss tonight’s bout against the Panthers in Florida.

2. David Backes is still expected to miss a few more games, and as head coach Claude Julien explained, they’re more concerned about infection than his recovery time (deemed at another 2-3 days).

THE GOOD:

1. Tuukka Rask came back in nets on Saturday, starting the game against the Red Wings and winning the bout 1-0.

2. The Boston Bruins broke their three-game skid against the Red Wings on Saturday, winning 1-0 with a goal by Tim Schaller.

3. With the return of Rask between the pipes, the Bruins organization decided to keep Zane McIntyre as backup, consequently sending Malcolm Subban back to their farm team.
