The Florida Panthers organization confirmed through Twitter that they reclaimed Seth Griffith, a skilled hockey player who was placed on the waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs yesterday.

Griffith had a difficult NHL career so far, being a talented and productive player almost everywhere he went, except in the NHL. When the Bruins first drafted him, they knew that at 5"9, the young player from Ontario lacked size. But man, did he had skills... still do.

With the emergence of Jonathan Marchessault, who seems about the same height as Griffith, the Panthers took a chance and decided to grab him, expecting his developement to reach a career-high level with the Panthers like it did with Marchessault.

Hopefully for them, they are right.
