Monday night's Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final was all over the place, but at the end of the day the Pittsburgh Penguins walked away with a huge 5-3 victory over the Nashville Predators.

However the Penguins will likely feel a little lucky to have walked away with a victory tonight, especially given some of the truly stunning statistics from the game. Sportsnet insider John Shannon has reported two statistics from tonight's game that will truly surprise you, although one of them in particular is mind-boggling.

First the Penguins were out-shot by a wide margin, a margin in fact greater than their shot total, with the Preds scoring 3 times on 26 shots while the Penguins recorded 5 goals on 12 shots.

However the truly staggering statistic is the time the Penguins spent without a shot on goal, a staggering 37 consecutive minutes, although to their credit both ends of that statstic were capped by a goal.

That was 19:43 of the first for Nick Bonino's goal and 16:43 of third for Jake Guenztel's goal.
