Aggressive general manager not done making moves.

The Montreal Canadiens made a confusing trade trade earlier today and they may not be done.

Hockey insider Elliotte Friedman was a guest on Edmonton's 630 CHED on Friday and indicated that Marc Bergevin, Montreal's general manager, has been one of the most agressive and may be looking to do more.

“Marc Bergevin is the kind of guy – if you ask other GMs who are some of the most aggressive callers, Marc Bergevin is definitely one of those guys," said Friedman as per Nichols on Hockey. "He is constantly on the phone trying to do things. So yes, I think the answer is absolutely he’s looking to try and do some stuff."

So just how aggressive is he Bergevin at the moment? According to Friedman there are only three untouchable players on the roster at the moment.

“Look – What does he have to trade? He’s not trading Price. He’s not trading Subban. He’s not trading Max Pacioretty. Who else is he moving? I think under the right circumstances, he would consider moving Galchenyuk. But it’s got to be the right circumstances."

It appears that the health of Carey Price may be the determining factor in whether or not Bergevin pulls the trigger on a big deal. Friedman asked out loud if concerns about Price could be what is holding Bergevin back at the moment.

“The other thing too is while Carey Price is back on the ice – he’s starting to skate – but if you’re concerned about Carey Price’s health, are you really making a huge move on your team. Bergevin hasn’t answered that, but that’s a question from outside that I’m wondering."
