This is one player you will want to keep in your thoughts and prayers.

The Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League have drawn second-seeded Bridgeport (43-24-6-3) in a best-of-five series in the opening round of the 2019 Calder Cup Playoffs.

In Friday night’s game though, the Bears lived quite an emergency situation, During the third period of the contest, defenseman Aaron Ness took a nasty spill on the ice next to the Sound Tigers’ net and did not manage to stop his speedy awkward fall in time.

The poor 28-year-old player crashed neck first into the boards and laid motionless on the ice. Surrounded by teammates and trainers, he couldn’t move and had to be turned on his back and lifted onto a stretcher.

He was put on the stretcher and left the game, and is said to be on his way to the local hospital.

His teammates gather around the stretcher to wish him luck as he made his way out.

This is tough to watch...

Very scary stuff to watch.

We are keeping Ness and his family in our thoughts…
