This just in, the Laval Rocket, AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Montreal Canadiens, will host two free games for fans this preseason.

How cool is that!?

“It’s important for our club to provide our fans the opportunity to see the Rocket and enjoy the excitement of a professional hockey game,” Mark Weightman, the Rocket’s vice-president of development and operations, said in a news release. “As an organization, we take great pride in being accessible and close to our fans. Place Bell belongs to all Laval residents and this is a way for us to say thank you to our fans as we get ready for what will be a truly exciting season.”

Love this! Hopefully it’s a marketing ploy that begins to catch on with other AHL clubs.
