Alex Ovechkin refuses to talk to reporters

Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin’s summer was quite the roller coaster.

After getting married to his lovely bride Anastasia Shubskaya, the forward lost his mother-in-law, who passed away on August 16th. 

Focusing back on his work with the Caps, Ovechkin hit the ice on Tuesday, but AP journalist Stephen Whyno has reported that Ovi refuses to talk to reporters. He will do so only on the first Day of training camp, a few weeks from now. 

Furthermore, his teammate Evgeny Kuznetsov has noted that Ovechkin has lost a few pounds. 

Hopefully, all signs pointing that Ovechkin is ready and focused on the new season ahead.
