All 44 goals from Auston Matthews’ record setting rookie season

From the moment he took the ice in a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey there was no doubt that Auston Matthews would be star in the NHL. In his Leafs debut, the 19 year-old tallied four goals against the Ottawa Senators and made it look easy in doing so. He’d go on to score 40 more in his first season and claim the Calder Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s top rookie.

How stoked are you that this guy is a Leaf? He shattered the team’s rookie records for goals and points set by Wendel Clark and Peter Ihnacak, respectively. Who knows how many he scores next year? For the first time in what feels like forever, the Toronto Maple Leafs may very well have a 50 goal scorer on their roster. 

Can we just drop the puck on 2017-18 already?
