When Russian rookie Pavel Buchnevich arrived at New York Rangers’ training camp, fans and analysts didn’t know what to expect. The 22 year-old rookie was coming to North America for the first time after four impressive seasons of playing pro hockey in the KHL. Well, the rookie sniper impressed enough to make the team and even managed to find his way into 41 games with the Blue Shirts in 2016-17.

Through 41 games the youngster put up an impressive eight goals and 14 points. Look for him to play a more regular role with the Rangers in 2017-18 and blow those numbers out of the water.
