Alleged victim of sex crime furious with the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Chicago Blackhawks have had to face some tough accusations against members of their organization this season, and now one of the alleged victims is speaking out against the organization.

The most recent member of the Blackhawks organization to be accused of a sex crime is prospect Garrett Ross, who stands accused of distributing an explicit image of a young woman without her consent in a case of "revenge porn." Earlier this week the case against Ross was dismissed in Illinois based on a technicality, Ross was allegedly in Michigan when he committed the act, and as a result of that dismissal Ross was reinstated by the Blackhawks.

The alleged victim spoke to Stacy St. Clair of the Sun Tribune to express her disappointment with the Blackhawks.

"I was infuriated when I read about their (the Blackhawks') decision. I was sitting at my desk at work literally shaking I was so mad," Ross' accuser told the Tribune. "I saw it coming, but it still was devastating, especially since it was made known that the charges were dropped due to jurisdiction issues, not due to lack of evidence."

She makes a good case for her outrage as well, the alleged victim brought up the fact that the Blackhawks waited as long as possible before suspending Ross, but immediately jumped at the opportunity to reinstate him once the charges were dropped.

"What bothered me the most was that it took the Blackhawks 40 days after Ross was booked and charged to suspend him, but less than 10 hours to reinstate him," the woman said. "That right there shows how the organization feels about issues like this. … The Blackhawks organization turned a blind eye, when they easily could have set an example within their organization that they do not tolerate this kind of behavior."

The Blackhawks consider themselves a model organization, and pride themselves on maintaining a good public image, it will be interesting to see if this level of criticism has any impact on their decisions surrounding this case moving forward. To be fair to Chicago, they may be subconsciously sceptical about such claims after their star forward Patrick Kane was falsely accused of a crime earlier this season.
