The hot button topic around the Montreal Canadiens and their disappointing preseason statistics and the poor performance of forward Alex Galchenyuk. The 23-year-old had a very difficult training camp: many experts thought he did not demonstrate he should be on either one of the first two lines.

Habs insider Martin Lemay suggested that a little change of scenery could be beneficial for Galchy. He even said that he would trade him for 19-year-old center Pierre-Luc Dubois... one for one.

Wow! That would be a HUGE move... and an even bigger gamble! Dubois was drafted third overall in 2016 by the Columbus Blue Jackets, and plays for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the QMJHL. He has yet to play a game in the NHL.

Galchenyuk played 61 games last season with the Habs, recording 17 goals and 27 assists for 44 points. The expectations were high after he scored 30 goals in 2015-16, but he was never able to fully recover from the knee injury he suffered mid-season. Chucky only recorded three points in the final 10 games of the Canadiens.
