An intriguing trade offer for the Habs!

Could it be the solution?

With a poor 1-3-0 record to start the season and only 4 goals scored for 13 goals against, the Montreal Canadiens seems lost and things do not seem to click.

Furthermore, yesterday Alex Galchenyuk was moved on the 4th line by coach Claude Julien which, according to many reporters, did not sit well with the young forward. Could he request a trade out of town?

Michel Anderson of Eyes On Isles thinks the New York Islanders should make a play for Galchenyuk, who he thinks is badly mismanaged by the Habs and could thrive on the island. Here's what he would offer.

The Montréal Canadiens need help on the defensive end. Letting go of Mikhail Sergachev in the deal for Jonathan Drouin didn’t help them. But they have a need and the New York Islanders have the assets to make the deal work.
They can take their pick of Calvin de Haan or Thomas Hickey. I expect they’d rather Hickey for his Corsi prowess. That fits with coach Claude Julien‘s M.O.
Add Brock Nelson to give the Habs an option at center that can score some goals for them. Something they’ll need after the loss of Alex Radulov in free agency this summer. And then a second-round pick in this season’s entry draft. We have two after all.

Should Marc Bergevin go for an offer like that while Galchenyuk still has some value around the league? Would you take that offer?
