An update on the stats of injured Wings defenseman Niklas Kronwall

The Red Wings have had to make due without veteran defenseman Niklas Kronwall but there are now signs he's on his way back to the line up.

According to a report from Helen St. James of the Detroit Free Press head coach Jeff Blashill is hopeful that Kronwall could return to practice with his fellow teammates as early as this week, although he did not specify a date.

Futhermore Blashill indicated to St. James that Kronwall has already begun skating on his own, and that has to be taken as a good sign of progress in his recovery at the very least. We will continue to monitor that progress and provide updates as they become available.
