Obviously when you hear about a situation like this you hope that it's not anything serious.

The Ottawa Senators have lost their starting goaltender in Craig Anderson for what sounds like an indefinite length of time and no one seems to know why. On Thursday the Senators announced that Anderson was leaving the team for personal reasons but did not provide any further details.

They released the following official statement:

"With the support of the entire organization, we've provided Craig with a leave of absence so that he can attend to a personal matter at home," said Senators general manager, Pierre Dorion. "While we are uncertain of how long Craig may be away, he will continue to have our support for as much time as is needed. We will respect his privacy and will have no further comment at this time."

Whatever may be affecting Anderson we hope he is going to be ok, and wish him all the best during this time.
