If at the beginning of the week someone said that the Flyers would beat the Red Wings and Blackhawks on back to back nights to move into a playoff spot, I doubt many people would have believed them. Well that is exactly what has happened and the Flyers are now in the final wild card spot! 1 point ahead of Detroit.

It was another defenseman picking up the late go ahead goal and another solid outing from a Flyers goalie. This time however, it was Radko Gudas who scored the goal off a bit of a crazy bounce that went off a Hawks defenseman's stick. Gudas sent a wrister towards the net, it hit Christian Ehrhoff's stick, hit the ice then fired upwards over the blocker of Scott Darling. It was a good example of how things have been going for the Flyers as of late. Nothing like some good old puck luck. Michal Neuvirth stepped between the pipes tonight and was solid. Having both goalies come in and shut the door and help your team pick up a huge 4 points in a great confidence boost.

We can only hope the Flyers can continue this roll they are on as they continue to battle to make the playoffs.
