The Boston Bruins got to count on forwards Brad Marchand, David Backes and Ryan Spooner on Wednesday, when they all returned to the lineup after being sidelined with injuries, but they could now have another injured player closing in on a return.

Anders Bjork was on the ice for the second straight day on Thursday, and spent a long time shooting and skating even once the skate was over.

Bjork has missed seven games and counting with an upper-body injury suffered after a violent mid-ice collision with Toronto Maple Leafs energy forward Matt Martin.

“It’s nice to be back with the team skating. I’m doing well now, and hopefully I can be back in the game soon helping the team out,” said Bjork, who was asked if Saturday could be when he returns to the lineup.

“I think so. We’ll see how my conditioning is, but I want to be 100 percent skill-wise and conditioning-wise when I play in a game so I’m able to do my best when I get back in there.”

The Bruins face the Phildelphia Flyers Saturday afternoon.
