As the revolving door of rookies to get their first shot with the Leafs continues, another one of those rookies scored his first career goal. At this rate, the Leafs might soon hold the record for 1st goals scored by a rookie in a season.

This time it was Connor Brown. The hometown kid scored his first career NHL goal on the power play to tie the game at 5-5 with under 5 minutes to play. It's always fun to see a rookie score his first career goal. It is even more special when the player was born and raised in the city he plays for. On top of scoring at the ACC in front of friends and family.

The Leafs giving all their young players their first chance in the NHL seems to be paying off. Many of them have scored their first career goals lately and it has shown that there is hope for the Leafs' future. Their effort and intensity has brought new life to Toronto and that will definitely be an important part of how the Leafs will play in the coming seasons.

Congrats Connor!
