After being estranged from the Vancouver Canucks following a trade from the Montreal Canadiens, one player hopes to find himself a new home.

Brandon Prust has been offered a professional tryout contract by the Toronto Maple Leafs, according to TVA Spots.

The 32-year-old, not known for his scoring nor his passing abilities, could provide a team with a youth movement such as Toronto's some much-needed veteran leadership as well as filling in nicely on a fourth line.

Lou Lamoriello told Sportsnet: “There’s no risk on our side”.
