National Hockey League veteran Patrick Marleau may have signed a big money contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs this summer but it seems like he's still looking for ways to make even more cash.

On Tuesday when speaking to the media Marleau revealed how he had purchased a deck of cards in Carolina and taught his fellow teammates some old school card games in order to get the young Maple Leaf players off of their Iphones, making himself sound like a good mentor in front of the cameras.

However unbeknownst to Marleau, those same reporters then asked Maple Leafs' star forward Auston Matthews about Marleau and his card games and his version paints a very different perception of Marleau.

"He tooks us for all our money," said Matthews.

It sounds like Marleau is not just a veteran NHL star, but he's also an older man who takes advantage of the naivete of his younger teammates. We're sure once he realized Matthews had spilled the beans on his little scam he got a good chuckle out of it.
